Marcus Bailey

President/Owner

Marcus was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. After high school, Marcus went on to complete his studies at The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. In the mid-1980s, Marcus entered the Marine Industry with FiberKing, builders of Bomber Bass Boats and Commander Runabouts & Fish-n-Skis. His involvement in Design, Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Dealer Network Management provided a foundation upon which Marcus entered the Manufacturers’ Representative business in 1990.

For the following 20 years, Marcus forged customer and principal relationships that resulted in exponential growth, garnering more than 40 principal and customer awards. During this time, acting as a Director, Marcus was also responsible for Principal development and conflict management for over 80 entities.

In the fall of 2010, Marcus founded Summit Marine Sales, LLC to provide principals and customers with a concentrated, technically proficient focus that can only be derived with a premier and limited number of non-competing lines. Today, Summit is enjoying steady growth while continuing to plot a course that benefits its Principals and Customers per the challenging and changing marketplace.

Marcus and his wife Dina reside in Oviedo, Florida with their daughter, Elizabeth.

 

Brian Robinson

Owner

Brian was born and raised in the Panama Canal Zone, providing for his dual citizenship and the opportunity to become fluent in English and Spanish. After completing high school in Panama, Brian moved to the U.S. and completed degrees in Electro-Mechanical Technologies and Business Management.

After entering the marine business in 1995 as a manufacturer’s representative, Brian became the Sales Director for EMI-Digital Switching Systems. Later, the Marinco Recreational Group recognized Brian’s unique talents and was able to convince him to come aboard as National OEM Sales Manager. Prior to joining Summit in a partnership role (September 2011), Brian spent 5 years as the Engineering and Product Development Manager for industry leader Lenco Marine.

Brian’s unique experiences in product design, systems integration, product development, digital switching/power management, and marine electrical systems combined with the relationships forged throughout the industry provide an immeasurable value to Summit Marine Sales, our Customers and our Principals.

Brian is based in the Stuart, Florida area with his wife, Brenda, and their two daughters.
